My mommy said that if I can show her that I’m responsible, I can get contact lenses.

There’s no doubt that my daddy will disapprove and try and tell me no, and that’s the real problem. Both of my parents have known that I’ve wanted contact lenses for over a year, and I keep bugging them about it. I just really need to show them that I can act like a responsible adult so it will make them feel more comfortable about making this purchase.

I guess I can understand where they’re coming from. My eyes are weird. One eye is almost perfect, so there’s barely any prescription in my right lens, but my left eye is horrible. I have a condition called Ambliopia or however the heck it’s spelled, and basically, it means that my left contact lens will cause like 300 dollars for a year’s supply. The other one is only like 30. I think that’s what’s really holding my parents back.

My daddy has probably the worst case of penny pinchedness that anyone has ever seen. xD
